WHY I LOVE BOUDOIR

When people I meet find out that I am a boudoir photographer, they often tell me that they’ve always wanted to pose for a session, but they wouldn’t dare do it without changing some aspect of themselves first. Maybe they believe they need to lose a few pounds or change some other feature of their body.

As a transgender woman, I can very much relate to the feeling of wanting to change your body to meet a physical ideal. However, I’ve noticed over the years that photography can go a long way towards improving how people feel about themselves, and boudoir photography can be especially empowering. Nothing beats the feeling of showing someone that they are beautiful just as they are. I live for those moments and Monet Boudoir Photography was founded to help create them.
